A physist calculated the extra - ordinary performance of 100 years old tree. During the course of its life the 100 years old tree :

  1. Had processed & fixed the amount of carbon Dioxide contained in 18 million cubic meter of natural air in the form of about 2500 KG of pure Carbon
  2. Had Photo chemically converted 91 Kg of carbon dioxide & 3700 liter’s of water.
  3. Had stored up energy of 3500 kg of coal.
  4. Had made available 6600 kg of molecular oxygen for respiration of human & animal.
  5. Vegetation TherapiesHas worked against the gravity to pull up & evaporate into atmosphere at least 2500 liter’s of water.
  6. Has worked as a water column as it is continuously pulling up water along with mineral and other nutrients during the day time for photosynthesis & dropping water during the night.
  7. Another thing to be noted is that CHLOROPPHYL is very stable and basic building constituent of plants. Its central molecule structure is somewhat similar to hemoglobin (the basic part of human blood)

Vegetation Covers work as double insulator

Vegetation Covers work as double insulator

As vegetation absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen during photosynthesis & eventually purifies the Air. They also help in stabilizing the climate and also help’s in water distribution through evaporation.

A mature broad leave tree has about 7 lakh leaves within area of within area of 1.5 hectare for evaporation. This is why Vastu-Shastra recommends the plantation of TARMARID trees to south with innumerable leaves that evaporate water.

THE Plants play significant role in activating positive energy to our day to day life. Here is what Vastu says about plants.

  1. Tulsi or Basil plant is most powerful and auspicious plant. The plant should be located in the North, East and North-east of the house. Tulsi can be grown at the front or the back of the house. It is always good to grow a Tulasi plant on one’s property. Tulsi should be located on the north, northeast, or east sides of the house, or in front of the house. Trees should not be planted directly in front of the house’s main entrance. There should be an even number of trees on one’s property, not an odd number. Trees should be planted on the south or west sides of the house. Ideally, they should be planted on both these sides rather than on only one side. It is not good to plant a tall tree on the north, northeast, or east sides of a building.
  2. Smaller trees may be planted on the east or north sides, but no trees should be planted in the northeast corner. Tall trees should not be too close to a building as they block the sunlight. A tree’s shadow should not fall on the house. Large trees should not be located too near the house as their roots can damage the foundation and compound wall. Also, the roots of large trees absorb sunlight quickly, meaning these positive rays will not be received by the building. Do not allow tree branches to touch the house.
  3. Stone sculptures and rock gardens should be located on the southwest side of the house because they are heavy.
  4. Thorny plants should not be planted near the house. Cactus should not be planted at all. Thorny plants other than roses have a negative energy. Ideally all thorny plants should be pulled up and destroyed.
  5. A list of good trees to plant: coconut, neem, betal, sandalwood, lemon, pineapple, bilva, almond, jackfruit, pomegranate, mango, amla, and katha.
  6. Banyan and Pipal (Aswatha) are sacred trees; they should usually only be planted near a temple or at a sacred place.
  7. Creepers or other plants should not be grown by using the building or compound wall as support. Creepers should only be grown in a garden, and they should have their own independent supports.
